Mary L. Mascitti (nee Foley), 89, passed away September 1, 2016, at Harbor House in Wheeling. Born on July 17, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Thomas and Rosalind (nee Johnston) Foley.
Mary was the wife of the late Frank Mascitti and loving cousin to John (Sue) and Richard Johnston (Mary Ann). She was a “grand” cousin to Dick
and Mary Ann’s children and grandchildren to whom she taught many lessons and often shared memorable times.
Mary was a primary school teacher in the Cicero grammar schools for 37 years.
She had many friends and will be missed by her good and loyal , friend, Noreen McGinley.
The family is grateful to the staffs of Harbor House, Rainbow Hospice and Addolorata Villa for their immeasurable care and compassion.
All who knew and loved Mary will miss her.
Visitation will Friday 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect.
Family and friends will meet for Mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Mary Church, 50 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL
Private interment at Queen of Heaven.
